The current system used by its staff is an offline system that is used to sell the bus tickets at the counter. It’s a tedious and time wasting procedure as a customer has to go to the counter to acquire a bus ticket or ask for a bus schedule. Furthermore, customers need to make cash payments for their tickets and sometimes one has to queue up for hours to get served. Besides, a customer is also not allowed to buy bus tickets through telephone due to company policy and also their telephone lines are always busy. Due to the problems mentioned above, a solution to this problem is to come up with an android application to enable the customer acquire tickets from the website and for them via m-pesa using their smart phones or tablets. This application will enable customers acquire tickets as well as pay for them via m-pesa using their smart phones or tablets.
