Abstract
These days most people have smartphones and tablets. The proposed project aimed at using the smartphones and tablets to assist residents to communicate problems they face to the council in real time. The application also intends to keep environment clean. The application will shoe different recycling banks, allow users to report problems. It will also have database to store reported problems.The proposed project will use waterfall method of development and software such as Android Studio, Java JDK, Eclipse and MySQL.The objectives of the system include: The application should allow users to inform council about issues or problems in the area, to provide information on the different recycling bank locations that can be found in Kenya and to show categories of various wastes so that users can easily locate where to recycle specific products.
